NIGHT MODE

Afternoon siestas, burnt vacation time, and thick tippet. Fireflies, field mice, and fat trout. Get ready for long nights chasing after that two-footer and unforgettable blow ups. Without question, experiencing these rivers at night is a unique and special event. As we enter into the longest and warmest days of the year, Night Mode activates and we begin chasing big browns in the shadows.

We offer two night modes, the Hex Hatch and the Mouse Melee. We kick off with the grand finale of our spring hatches - the Hex Hatch. From here, we are throwing mouse and frog patterns in search of that special fish. You’ll not only experience what few others will attempt, but learn how to find your own waters and execute them with confidence on your own.

This is considered a trophy trout hunt and trips are offered in limited quantity and by interview only. Limited bookings and flexible scheduling help ensure we embark under good conditions. Candidates are expected to hold their own with traditional fly gear; prime time is not the time for casting lessons. We highly encourage you to reserve your trip as soon as possible. Be assured, we stand by our experience from seasons spent on these rivers at night.

Night trips are offered at a ratio of one angler per guide. Depending on the location selected, clients may expect a full night of wading or transportation via canoe. Trip cost reflects both the uniqueness of this trip offering, as well as, the multi-day set-aside for us to select optimal conditions. Multi-night discounts available.
