SANDHILL
FLY FISHING
Here in Sand Country, tradition runs deep—rooted in the work of Carrie Frost, Weber Tackle, Frank Hornberg, Aldo Leopold, and the many unnamed river legends who came before us.
These rivers have left their mark on us—and they continue to do so—providing lasting memories with friends and loved ones, offering lessons, and grounding us in ways we’re now ready to share. At our core, we’re here to elevate these rivers and carry forward the traditions surrounding them.
Our name reflects the landscape we call home and the Eastern Sandhill Crane—our familiar companion on the riverbank and epitome of Central Wisconsin’s wild places.
We offer small-batch flies crafted specifically for our home waters and boutique guided experiences built from decades of local knowledge and respect for the resource.
Sandhill Fly Fishing is the home base of the Cutbank Collective—a community of Midwestern trout anglers who come together to exchange ideas, swap stories, and support grassroots conservation.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER.
Whether it’s an introduction to the world of fly fishing, a deep-dive into a particular topic, or hands-on fly-tying demonstrations, we welcome any opportunity to share what our home waters have taught us. Let us know what you have in mind by completing the form below:
